Sam Behr is a singer/songwriter, pianist, and actress based in NYC. Originally from Boston, Sam grew up with a passion for the arts— she began playing piano by ear at the age of 4 and began classically training as a vocalist upon moving to Boca Raton FL at age 9. Inspired greatly by music of iconic pop and rock artists of the 60s and 70s such as Stevie Wonder and David Bowie and the performance styles of classic theatre songstresses such as Barbra Streisand and Liza Minelli, Sam began writing her own music at 14 and went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston after graduating from high school in 2012. After studying for two years at Berklee, Sam began working professionally in a dueling pianos bar playing all-request, interactive shows, and left school to work full time as an entertainer. Since moving to NYC in 2016, Sam has made a name for herself singing and playing in some of NYC’s hottest dueling piano bars and lending her voice and piano chops to countless GB bands. In addition to her cover work, Sam has been working to release her first EP of original music, which she plans to release over the summer of 2019. She looks forward to sharing her eclectic sound with the world.
