With Special Guests Morgan Evans and Lee Brice
Monday, January 29 at 7pm

The Broadway at Birdland concert series it proud to announce the return of singer/songwriter Victoria Shaw in "Under The Covers." The one-night-only event will take place on Monday, January 29 at 7pm. Victoria's very special guests will be Morgan Evans and Lee Brice.

Hosted by award winning songwriter Victoria Shaw, Under The Covers has become a favorite recurring highlight at Birdland, featuring a wide variety of top-selling songwriters and musical acts from across the pop, rock and country worlds, and offering intimate acoustic performances of huge hit songs - along with the little-known stories behind them.

Victoria Shaw is a pop/country songwriter responsible for over 65 million cd sales! As a singer, she had the great opportunity to open for Garth Brooks in the historic 1997 Central Park concert. Victoria also wrote one of Garth's biggest hits of all-time, "The River." The two-time Emmy Award-winning composer also wrote "I Love The Way You Love Me" for John Michael Montgomery and "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" for Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera. Her songs have been recorded by Olivia Newton John, Boyzone, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, Reba McEntyre, Tricia Yearwood, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Michael McDonald. She co-produced the debut cd for Lady Antebellum, which went double platinum, thanks to three hit singles, and was nominated for two Grammy Awards.

Born and raised in Australia, the singer/songwriter Morgan Evans is now chasing his dream halfway across the world, already receiving critical praise from outlets like Rolling Stone, Billboard and Music Row. In 2014 Evans won the Oz Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Best Australian Video of the Year.[ Evans is the 2016 CMA Global Artist of the Year and has won five fan voted Country Music Channel Awards, including Male Artist of the Year. Recently signed to Warner Music Nashville/Warner Bros. Records, Evans is currently in the studio working on his forthcoming American debut album.

Award winning songwriter Lee Brice has parlayed his stellar songwriting into a career as an artist. He first began making his mark in Nashville in 2007, co-writing Garth Brooks' "More Than a Memory," which was the first single in the history of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart to debut at No. 1. Brice went on to write songs for Jason Aldean, Eli Young Band and Tim McGraw, among others, which led to signing a deal of his own. His 2010 debut album, 'Love Like Crazy,' scored a hit with its title song, which revealed Brice's ability to imbue other people's songs with the same emotional intensity as his own material. That was also evident in the success of "I Drive Your Truck," which took Song of the Year honors at both the ACM and CMA Awards. Brice's expressive voice, coupled with his ability to write and find unusually compelling songs like his 2014 hit, "I Don't Dance," have placed him at the forefront of the "new Country" explosion.
