Joanne Tatham in Concert
“The Rings of Saturn”
Birdland Theater
Sunday, September 30 at 7:30pm

The Birdland Theater is proud to announce the return of Joanne Tatham to the concert stage. Joanne and her musical director Max Haymer will perform “The Rings of Saturn,” also the name of her new CD, for one night only, on Sunday, September 30 at 7:30pm.

Joanne Tatham celebrates the release of her new recording "The Rings of Saturn," which has enjoyed multiple spins on SiriusXM's Real Jazz station as well as David Kenney's "Everything Old Is New Again" and Mary Foster Conklin's "A Broad Spectrum" programs. Joining her is her arranger/pianist on the project, Max Haymer, who is taking a break from his world tour with Arturo Sandoval. Standards, sambas, reimagined seventies gems and a heretofore unrecorded title track make for a compelling contemporary musical mix.

Joanne Tatham is a favorite of audiences from her native New York to her adopted home in Los Angeles. "The Rings of Saturn,” released March 30, 2018, is her fourth album. It's the highly anticipated follow-up to her critically-acclaimed 2015 release "Out Of My Dreams," which debuted at #26 on the JazzWeek chart and can be heard on SiriusXM RealJazz and other stations nationwide. Her music has found its way onto the soundtracks of television shows and independent films. Ms. Tatham appears frequently in the LA clubs Catalina's, Vibrato, The Baked Potato and Upstairs at Vitello's; and in New York she has appeared at Birdland, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Town Hall and The Cafe Carlyle. Equally at home in the worlds of jazz and The Great American Songbook, Tatham has appeared in several prestigious Mabel Mercer Foundation Cabaret Conventions. Penthouse Magazine urged: "If you get a chance to see Joanne Tatham perform live, get moving! She's something you won't want to miss."
