The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to present another "Uke Night," a Broadway celebration of the ukulele! The one-night-only event will take place on Monday, April 2 at 7pm.

Hosted by Broadway singer/dancer/actor/director Jeffry Denman, this "Uke Night" will star some of Broadway's most talented performers, including Marc Kudisch, Luke Hawkins, Hannah Elless, Andy Taylor, Jason Poole, Nancy Anderson and The Skivvies. Material will include Hawaiian, Broadway, Pop and iconic songs from the 20's and 30's.

Jeffry Denman is a Broadway performer best known for starring in both the world premiere and the original Broadway company of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, (Fred and Adele Astaire Award nom). Last year he was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle and his second Drama Desk Award for his performance in Kid Victory at the Vineyard Theatre. Jeffry's other Broadway and New York performing credits include: Face the Music and Of Thee I Sing at Encores!, Cats, Dream and How To Succeed... on Broadway. Off Broadway, he choreographed Naked Boys Singing, which ran for over 12 years. He was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award and an SDC Joe A Callaway Award for his choreography in YANK! at the York Theatre and worked alongside acclaimed director David Cromer on the subsequent workshops. Other off-Broadway credits include providing choreography and/or staging for Assistance (Playwright's Horizons), Bullet for Adolf (New World Stages) and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice (NYMF Award - Honorable Mention - Best Choreography). Regionally, at Tuacahn where he is also the Director of New Works he has directed and choreographed highly acclaimed productions of Disney's Newsies, Thoroughly Modern Millie and the world premieres of Fairy Tale Christmas and Disney's When You Wish. At Ogunquit Playhouse, he choreographed West Side Story, The Music Man, directed and choreographed Damn Yankees and will be directing and choreographing the Regional Premiere of An American in Paris there this summer. He is the author of the book, A Year with The Producers and the Artistic Director of Denman Theatre & Dance Co.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series takes place every week on the stage of the iconic music room, which is located at 315 West 44 Street in the heart of Manhattan's Theater District.
