The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce that Barb Jungr and John McDaniel will return to the stage on Monday, October 22 at 7pm.

Following the 2016 release of their highly-acclaimed album “Come Together – Barb Jungr and John McDaniel Perform The Beatles,” the ferociously talented, award-winning duo brings back “by popular demand” a collection they performed in the summer to rave reviews in Berlin and New York – “1968 – Let The Sun Shine In.”

In this show, award-winning “great British cabaret singer” (New York Times) and “one of the best night club singers in the world” (Time Out New York) Barb Jungr joins forces with the formidably talented Grammy and two-time Emmy Award winning US composer, arranger and musical director, John McDaniel. With their potent musical synergy, Jungr and McDaniel reinvent some of the most iconic anthems of 1968, when the Viet Nam War and it’s protestors clashed and raged, and the US saw the assassinations of both Robert F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King. The repertoire of “1968 – Let The Sun Shine In” reflects the tenor of the times with titles including “Born To Be Wild,” “Do You Know The Way To San Jose?,” “Revolution,” and “Aquarius.”
