Dave Liebman, John Abercrombie, Marc Copland, Billy Hart & Drew Gress

Saxophonist Dave Liebman (pictured), a 2010 "NEA Jazz Master," learned directly from jazz icons, spending extensive periods as a member of groups led by Miles Davis and Elvin Jones. As a leader, Liebman has been associated since 1970 with a succession of extraordinary groups from Open Sky Trio to Lookout Farm to Quest, each of whom has framed a distinct phase of his musical evolution.
Over a career spanning more than 40 years and nearly 50 albums, John Abercrombie has established himself as one of the masters of jazz guitar, a restless experimenter, working firmly in the jazz tradition while pushing the boundaries of harmony and texture.
Pianist Marc Copland, who the New York Times calls, “a pianist drawn to dark harmonic shading,” was early considered an heir to Bill Evans but has gone on to, “quietly redefine jazz piano...” (Allaboutjazz.com)
The rhythm section includes in-demand bassist Drew Gress as well as legendary drummer Billy Hart who has been a fixture on the jazz scene for over fifty years, performing and recording along the way with jazz legends Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul, Herbie Hancock, Stan Getz and Miles Davis.
