This all-star quintet features premiere contemporary musical artists who share a common link: They were inspired by the hard bop and post-bop repertoire and styles of Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Art Blakey, Dexter Gordon, Oliver Nelson and others. Together, trumpeters Nicholas Payton and Jeremy Pelt, tenor saxophonist Javon Jackson, pianists George Cables and Larry Willis, bassist Dwayne Burno and drummer Billy Drummond will explore those shared influences during this one of a kind engagement.
