Miss Coco Peru: Have You Heard?
After a sold-out appearance last spring, the Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce return of Miss Coco Peru in Have You Heard? on October 7, 8 and 9 at 11pm.

Coco loves toreminisce. In fact, she’s very good at it. In Have You Heard? Coco performs some of her favorite monologues and songs spanning her long career, as well as some new stuff too. Whether you’ve heard all of these stories, or if you’re a Coco virgin, come see why Lily Tomlin called Coco “one of the last great storytellers.” Experience the trailblazing Queen who elevated drag whilst still wearing sensible heels.

Miss Coco Peru, aka Clinton Leupp, grew up in the Bronx and got his/her start as a downtown favorite in the cabaret world of NewYork City in the early 1990s. On screen, Coco is best known for her roles in the films trick and Girls Will Be Girls. For Girls Will Be Girls, Coco shared the Best Actress Award with his co-stars at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival and the Best Actor Award at LA’s Outfest Film Festival. Other films: To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar; and Straight-Jacket. In the Disney animated feature The Wild, Coco voiced Mamma Hippo! Coming soon, the highly-ish anticipated sequel to Girls Will Be Girls. TV appearances include: How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development, Twins, Will & Grace, New York Undercover, Detroit 1-8-7, and an Orbitz commercial that was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award. Coco has been seen on several reality shows on the BRAVO network and also has appeared on LOGO in two stand-up comedy specials: Wisecrack and Dragtastic. Coco’s live, solo shows include: Miss Coco Peru in My Goddamn Cabaret, Miss Coco Peru: A Legend in Progress (’92 MAC and Bistro Award), Miss Coco Peru at the Westbeth Theatre (’95 MAC Nomination), Miss Coco Peru's Liquid Universe(‘98 GLAAD Nomination), Miss Coco Peru's Universe (’99 LA GLAAD Nomination), Miss Coco Peru’s Glorious Wounds…She’s Damaged (’01 LAGLAAD Nomination) Miss Coco Peru is Undaunted (’04 GLAAD Award Winner,Ovation Nomination), UGLY COCO, THERE COMES A TIME, and most recently, SHE’S GOT BALLS! These shows have been performed to soldout audiences in Theatres, Clubs, Restaurants, Ballrooms, Yachts, Living Rooms, Backyards, Nudist Camps and Cabarets throughout the US and abroad.

Coco hosts an on-going live series of shows at the Renberg Theater in Los Angeles called Conversations With Coco in which Coco interviews and celebrates the lives and careers of the GLBT community's favorite icons. Miss Peru's guests have included Liza Minnelli, Jane Fonda, Bea Arthur, Lily Tomlin, Karen Black, Lainie Kazan, Lesley Ann Warren, and drag legend Mr. Charles Busch. Coco’s recent online YouTube videos have almost 2 million views. Her video "Coco Goes to KMART", in which she searches for Celestial Seasoning Tension Tamer tea, has more than 500,000 views, alone. For this reason, Coco has had to ask her fans to stop sending her the tea. She's received close to 100 boxes!

She is also available for children'sparties!
