Nina Hennessey is known for her roles and appearances in the world-renowned Broadway productions of Bye Bye Birdie, Cats, Dreamgirls, and Les Miserables among others and for her concert work with the late Marvin Hamlisch. Her voice is celebrated across the industry for her consistently delivered unique and warm pure tone. Her longing to break the fourth wall, to sing songs she loves but could never sing on Broadway, to perform the styles she explored privately for a lifetime... became overwhelming and sent her into the recording studio with her husband, Ray Marchica, and their trusted musical compatriots Don Rebic, Jeff Ganz and Sean Harkness. The BroadwayWorld.com award winning recording, With A Song, is the result. Stellar album reviews call it, "simply brilliant" with a wide range of emotion and technique. "She recalls the great jazz thrushes without emulating them." Here is what the legendary singer Marilyn Maye says-"There aren't many singers who can make the transition from musical theatre to the intimate nightclub scene as easily and as beautifully as Nina. Listen closely and you'll hear what I mean-Nina Knows!"

Mentions of drummer Ray Marchica are invariably peppered with words like "diverse", "versatile" and "respected". He has performed or recorded with everyone from Barbra Streisand to James Brown; on Broadway, he's been the drummer for many shows including Damn Yankees, A Chorus Line, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and currently, Mamma Mia. On radio, he recently played drums for Prairie Home Companion and on TV, he was the drummer for The Rosie O'Donnell Show . He often performs with the Birdland BigBand, Ed Palermo Big Band, Gary Morgan Panamerica and The Russ Kassoff Big Band. He has recorded two albums as a leader: In the Ring and A Different View, both on the Sons of Sound label.

Right out of college, working at Radio City Music Hall ,Nina and Ray met and became friends. They got married- but not to each other. They had children- but not with each other. The first marriages ended and there they were: single parents in New York City. Ray called to ask Nina to meet for a cup of coffee. Long story short, they blended their families and have been drinking Ray's good coffee every morning ever since.
