The Broadway at Birdland concert series is pleased to announce the return of William Blake in Echoes of Etta II, on Monday, October 28 at 7pm.

Blake, along with music director Michael Thomas Murray at the keys, The Peaches (Ashley Betton, Shira Elias, and Stephany Mora) on backup vocals, Lavondo Thomas on bass, Brad Meehan on drums, and Matthew Polashek on sax return to Birdland on October 28th to once again celebrate the musical legacy of Etta James.

Expect to hear many classic Etta tunes such as “A Sunday Kind Of Love,” “At Last,” as well as “Take It To The Limit,” “I Prefer You,” and “All I Could Do Was Cry.” In addition, the Peaches themselves will be stepping into the spotlight to preview Murray's new show, Always Aretha, dedicated to the Queen of Soul herself - Aretha Franklin!

William Blake, a native Texan, has been performing professionally since the age of 19. After appearing on Season 4 of “American Idol,” he made his move to NYC. He has performed at numerous NYC venues such as Carnegie Hall in Standard Time With Michael Feinstein, The Best of Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Town Hall and Rose Hall at Lincoln Center. Mike Murray is a graduate from Yale University and has worked with such notable groups as The Chantels, The Orioles, The Vandellas, The Blue Notes and solo artists Patti LaBelle and Jimmy Guilford - his mentor. Off-Broadway, he has worked on Forever Dusty, Murder Mystery Blues, and 50 Shades: The Musical (coming in November).
