The Broadway at Birdland concert series it proudto announce the return of singer/songwriter Victoria Shaw in “Under TheCovers.” The one-night-only event will take place on Monday, January 23at 7pm. Victoria’s special guests will be Neal McCoy and Gary Burr

Hosted by award winning songwriter Victoria Shaw, Under The Covershas become a favorite recurring highlight at Birdland, featuring a wide varietyof top-selling songwriters and musical acts from across the pop, rock andcountry worlds, and offering intimate acoustic performances of huge hit songs -along with the little-known stories behind them. Special guests will beannounced soon.

Victoria Shaw is apop/country songwriter responsible for over 65 million cd sales! As asinger, she had the great opportunity to open for Garth Brooks in the historic 1997 Central Park concert. Victoria also wrote one of Garth's biggesthits of all-time, "The River." The two-time Emmy Award-winningcomposer also wrote "I Love The Way You Love Me" for John MichaelMontgomery and "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" for Ricky Martin andChristina Aguilera. Her songs have been recorded by Olivia Newton John,Boyzone, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, Reba McEntyre, Tricia Yearwood, Billy RayCyrus, and Michael McDonald. She co-produced the debut cd for LadyAntebellum, which went double platinum, thanks to three hit singles, andwas nominated for two Grammy Awards.

Neal McCoy has released fifteen studio albums onvarious labels, and has released 34 singles to country radio.In 1993, Neal McCoy broke through with the back-to-back number 1 singles No Doubt About It and Wink from his platinum-certified album No Doubt About It.His commercial successcontinued into the late 1990s with two more platinum albums and a gold album,as well as six more Top Ten hits.A seventh Top Ten hit, the number 10 Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On, came in 2005 fromhis self-released That’s Life. Music ofYour Life, a big band jazz and country amalgam with LesBrown, Jr. recorded for a public television special, appeared in 2011, with anew studio album, XII, finally arriving in 2012. In 2013 he released Pride: A Tribute to Charley Pride, Neal’s longtime friend and mentor. 2015 brought the Big Band Standards CD You Don’t Know Me.Neal has been on 15 USO Tours around the world and continues to sayit’s one of the achievements he’s most proud of. After years of hard work and hardwriting, writer/performer Gary Burrgot his first break in 1982 with Juice Newton’s “Love’s Been a Little Bit Hardon Me.” With a hit under his belt he started writing in earnest, gettingcuts from such talents as the Oak Ridge Boys and Conway Twitty. After a brieftime on a solo career and album, Gary took over for Vince Gill as thelead-singer for the band Pure Prairie League. In the late 80’s, Garybecame one of Country Music’s most sought-after writers, having hits with RandyTravis, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless, Garth Brooks, and many more. Burrhas been awarded ‘Songwriter of the Year’ on three separate occasions by threedifferent organizations: Billboard, Nashville Songwriter’s AssociationInternational, and ASCAP and has written 14 Number One songs. In 2005 Gary wasinducted into the NSAI Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, one of the highest honorsthat a songwriter can ever achieve. With his successes in Country Music,Gary’s ventures in Pop have been equally stellar. He has written and performedwith Ringo Starr, appearing on VH1’s ‘Storytellers’ series and many talk shows.He had a world-wide hit with Ricky Martin’s duet with Christina Aguilera“Nobody Wants to be Lonely,” granting him his first #1 on the Latin charts.Gary garnered a #1 on the pop charts with his collaboration on the platinumselling single “Before Your Love” by American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, and a#1 selling single with American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken’s song “This Is TheNight.” Gary wrote and toured with Pop writing legend Carole Kingperforming all over the world as part of her Living Room Tour. Gary’slatest adventure could be the wildest of all: forming the trio Blue Sky Riderswith Kenny Loggins and Nashville singer/songwriter Georgia Middleman. Theirfirst CD, Finally Home, was co-produced by the band with Peter Asher andreleased in January of 2013, with a second CD currently in production.
