“In a world of pretenders, Carmen Lundy is a genuine Jazz Singer”
- The Evening Standard

Jazz vocalist and composer Carmen Lundy began her professional career at 16 in her native Miami before moving to New York City in 1978 where she worked with her brother, bassist Curtis Lundy, Ray Barretto, Kenny Barron, Bruce Hornsby, Mulgrew Miller, Terri Lyne Carrington, Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Cobb, Ron Carter, Marian McPartland, Regina Carter, Steve Turre, Geri Allen, Robert Glasper, and many others. Carmen’s first solo album entitled “Good Morning Kiss,” (1985) was #3 on Billboard’s Jazz Chart for twenty-three weeks. Her fifteen subsequent solo albums garnered critical and popular acclaim. Her new album Code Noir, written entirely by Lundy, is described as, “a song cycle for turbulent times.”
